Insertion loss and attenuation (S21) of Ameritron ARF-1000 LPF

Ameritron ARF-1000 is an HF multiband LPF which can handle 1kW PEP. I was looking for an HF multiband LPF because my old HF transceiver with a vacuum tube final amplifier (Yaesu FT-102S) fails in the 2nd harmonics level in the spurious emission test in Japan. ARF-1000 was a candidate for it. But Ameritron has not disclosed the typical performance of ARF-1000. Then I bought one and tested it with a VNWA3 network analyzer. As a result, the insertion loss was around 0.2 dB and the attenuation of the second harmonic was at least 10 dB.

We can select 6 different cut-off frequencies with ARF-1000. The cut-off frequencies are 2.3 MHz, 4.4 MHz, 8.0 MHz, 14.5 MHz, 21.6 MHz, and 30.0 MHz.
